Drastic Change
Day 2. This morning is the slackest morning I’ll get for this PA. I’m in this unit with another girl (let’s call her K) from ntu, and we are assigned 1 buddy each. But her buddy is taking leave from today onwards for a week or two, so I’ll have to share mine with her. The problem now is the shared buddy is nowhere to be seen! Have to wait patiently then… by 10, we have collected our laptop and back to our dept. Buddy L (lets call her L) still not here… ok. So we set up our new possession - a super duper heavy chunky Compaq armada laptop, and changed our pw. After some hiccups and wasted time, we are finally done with the admin stuff with it. Wow… L still not here. K starts to panic and says that we shld go find someone n ask. Okay den, find who? We go to the official area of our unit (we are at e pantry area behind all this while… a nice, cosy enclose area with no specific seating arrangement) and approach one of the few ppl that are introduced to us yesterday. Nice admin lady “Dali” (fake name too), fumbles around (think she’s vv busy) and den she brings us around in the unit to intro us. Anyways, finally at 1130am, L arrives! Haha den she got nothing for us to do too… coz according to the planner, someone else is suppose to use us, I will only follow her from nxt week onwards. Here or not here, it’s the same results… nothing to do.

But after lunch, things have taken a different turn. Dali comes to the pantry area to find me straight after lunch, giving me a 1) puncture, 2) staple, 3) a post slip with a name and no. on it, and says “Shanyi, go find Saya (fake name la) at XXX building. Take these things and your laptop over there now.”
Heng never lose my way while journeying there… anyway, this is my very first “job” (client company)! There are actually rankings in my PA co. eg. P=partner, M=manager, AM, A1, A2, B3, B4 and me (MI)! (in the order of highest to lowest) my first team consists of one M (seen him once or twice during the entire audit period lor), one A2 (the Saya mentioned above), one B3 (Feng Jie from the coffee blog entry) and B4 (a guy that looks like yaokun haha, serious!).
Yupz, and so I spent the rest of first week over here! Worked like hell sia… like a machine… OT OT OT, went through 2 thousand plus of order tickets and trading card… Damn those brokers/traders with the horrendous handwritings and filing clerks who dunno how to file the tickets and cards properly!
