Hall 14 Cheerleading 3rd in NTU

Tada~~~ our winning entry that got back our 2nd runner up position 2days ago!!! We got 3rd when I was in yr1, left empty handed in yr2 and yup, climbed back up to the 3rd position this year~~~ hope we'll get better n better, and snatch the 1st place soon (nxt yr I hope :P)! Hall 14 rox! :D

NTU Hall Olympiad Opening

Wohooo~ indoor sparks~ haha it was something new for a change ^ ^ but the smoke was choking us and the debris proved to be a headache for the HO committee O_o Hopefully I can upload my hall's cheerleading clip real soon... got to send it to my friend's friend to get it resized since YouTube only takes file size less than 100mb XD

I Wish Someone Can Pay Me Peanuts

I was researching stuff for my fyp and I couldnt resist blogging about this. Following shortly after the NKF Singapore scandal was brought to light, wife of former Prime Minister GCK commented that "for a person who runs a big million-dollar charitable organisation, with a few hundred million in reserves, S$600,000 a year is peanuts". The statement was taken as an insult by many, who earn much less a year or even struggle for a living. Many Singaporeans felt utterly insulted by Mrs Goh's statement that Mr TT Durai's S$600K salary is peanut. Blogs and online messageboards were quickly flooded with angry comments, and online petitions requesting Mrs Goh to apologise were started. Here's an extract from one such online petition for that matter:

"...Having worked very hard to get my university education and present job I still earn less than 10% of that peanut. If I'm making only less than 10% of a peanut does she mean poor "peasant" like me and perhaps most of Singaporeans earn only dirt? Is this how the high government officers and their wives feel about the income of their people? Does that mean normal hard working honest "peasants" like us are worth only dirt in their eyes? Do we still expect people like that to help us in our lives? I have known many rich people who make that kind of money through business or working for MNC but no one has ever told poor "peasant" like me a few hundred thousands is peanut to them, so far no one I met is that arrogant. Does she owe an apology to Singaporeans for that demeaning and arrogant comment? I leave for you to decide..."

Anyway, jokes on the issue were later circulated, and this I found to be the most amusing of all => a 1 peanut bill with a value equivalent to S$600K. Read the full article @ TalkingCock.com.
